About the Bulletin

The IMS Bulletin is published 8 times a year (January/February, March, April/May, June/July, August, September, October/November and December). Established in 1972, its print circulation is approximately 2,000, and downloads average about 8,000. It is available as a PDF download from the archives page.
The IMS website, http://imstat.org (established 1996) is updated daily. It receives over 30,000 visits per month.
The IMS Bulletin and web pages are the official news organ and web site of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics.
Acceptance of advertising is subject to approval by the Editor.

Requirements for print ads

We accept electronic files sent via email to bulletin@imstat.org: EPS or PDF (grayscale with all fonts embedded) preferred. All images must be high resolution (at least 300dpi).
For full page advertisements, we offer two sizes: ads that are sized to fit within the normal Bulletin page margins, as well as complete page ads that extend to the edge of the page, which need to be supplied with a 1/8″ bleed. Both options are the same price.

Welcome!

Welcome to the new and improved IMS Bulletin website! We are developing the way we communicate news and information more effectively with members. The print Bulletin is still with us (free with IMS membership), and still available as a PDF to download, but in addition, we are placing some of the news, columns and articles on this blog site, which will allow you the opportunity to interact more. We are always keen to hear from IMS members, and encourage you to write articles and reports that other IMS members would find interesting. Contact the IMS Bulletin at bulletin@imstat.org

What is “Open Forum”?

With this new blog website, we are introducing a new feature, the Open Forum. Any IMS member can propose a topic for discussion. Email your subject and an opening paragraph (send this to bulletin@imstat.org) and we'll post it to start off the discussion. Other readers can join in the debate by commenting on the post. Search other Open Forum posts by using the Open Forum category link below. Start a discussion today!
